Chancellor’s Office Relocation
Clark Kerr Hall, University of California, Santa Cruz
More Info
The renovation of approximately 20,000 s.f. in Kerr Hall at the University of California, Santa Cruz to provide a new campus administration headquarters was completed in 2006. The project includes new offices and support spaces for the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and Provost, senior staff, and special University administrative units, including University Relations.
The new Chancellor’s Conference room provides flexible meeting space for large meetings, press briefings, and teleconferencing, and is supported by an extensive audio-visual installation. The new lobby, with artwork integrated into the architecture, presents a welcoming “front door” to the campus administration. The lobby ceiling features panels fabricated of redwood recycled from the original lobby, one of many sustainable aspects of the design.
